Choral music education and performance opportunities for treble singers in grades 4 – 8
Meets at the Brenham Community Education Building on Tuesdays from 4 – 6 pm.
Rehearsals include choreography, sight singing, voicing, singing in parts, and musical theatre. Singers are introduced to a wide variety of musical genres including, but not limited to, Contemporary, Classical, Folk, Gospel, Sacred, Patriotic, and music in other languages. These singers perform at the annual Christmas and Spring concerts and at various events throughout the area including collaborations with other performing organizations.
Brenham Broadway Kids
Musical theatre education and performances for singers in grades 5 – 8
Meets at the Brenham Community Education Building on Mondays from 4 – 6 pm.
Each year, these singers perform in their production of a licensed Junior Broadway Musical at the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center, Blinn College, Brenham.
A non-performance group for children in 2nd and 3rd grade
Meets at the Brenham Community Education Building from 4 – 5 pm on Mondays.
Singers are introduced to reading music, basic music theory, sight singing, and a wide variety of musical genres. This group performs at the annual Christmas and Spring Concerts.
An introduction to music for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade
Meets at the Brenham Community Education Building on Mondays from 4 – 4:45 pm and at St. Paul’s Christian Day School on Wednesdays from 3:30 – 4:15 pm.
Through singing, creative movement, and musical instrument play, children experience making music, rhythm, and learning songs. These singers perform at the annual Spring concert.
Brenham Broadway Chorus
Musical theatre introduction and performance opportunities for singers in grades 4 – 8
Meets on alternate Mondays from 4 – 6 pm at the Brenham Community Education Building.
In addition to being introduced to acting techniques, singing in a musical production, singers have the opportunity to be a part of the annual Brenham Broadway Kids Musical production.
